"Asia Pacific regional award in Earth Day Globe competition"

Students from MESCO Grades High School were encouraged and guided to participate in the ‘Earth Day Globe competition’. The video posted by the students secured third place in the Asia Pacific Region. The video depicting the harmful effects of plastic was appreciated and posted on social media by Globe Foundation.

"Win in Dell-Microsoft Study Buddy contest"

"Taking the spirit of ‘Dreaming and Doing’ forward, Dell and Microsoft have come up with a unique opportunity Dell-Microsoft Study Buddy for the students to get explored on ‘How they would make India a better place’. 8 Students of MESCO School submitted their projects on Go Green Initiative in Phase I and Khadija Sumbul, won 15th Position out of 17 winners bagged cash award of Rs.10, 000/-"

"National Level Award in the Inspire Competition"

'The IRIS workshops held under the SCIMA program inspired Syed Mohammed Ali, student of MESCO Grades, Hyderabad to excel in science. The diligent work on a project won him victory at the National Level in the INSPIRE Science contest conducted by Ministry of Science & Technology. (INSPIRE) Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research is an innovative program sponsored and managed by the Department of Science & Technology India aims to attract talent to the study of science at an early age and for strengthening and expanding the Science & Technology system and Research Development base.

Mohammed Ali’s whose project “Man and the Plastic World” was selected to participate in State Level qualified after competing with 1800 projects. His project focused on the adverse effects of plastic and he himself prepared bags from waste materials as an alternate for Plastic.

"Go Green Initiative - Award Winning Performance by MESCO School Student"

Meraj Begum the student of MESCO school participated in a shoe painting competition on the theme 'Go Green'conducted by TERI, Dell Youth Learning Partner. The unique colourful shoe painting contest encouraged the participants to showcase their creativity and concern towards environment. Each & every painting was thought provoking & depicted the social responsibility within their young minds. The student named Meraj Begum bagged the second prize and was appreciated by the organizers for their involvement and awareness on social cause.

"Award winning participation in OMIET Science fair at Chennai"

'Two students from MESCO participated in the Southern Regional OMIET (Organization of Muslim Educational Institutions and Associations of Tamilnadu) science fair at Chennai.

Abrar Sayeed and Mohd Israr Ahmed of class IX took part in it and bagged the 2nd position. There were more than 350 online entries out of which 150 were selected and the schools were invited to Chennai to participate in the Science fair . MESCO students had prepared a project on Biogas which is basically a combination of 60% Methane, 30% of Carbon –Di-oxide and some other gases. The judges were very much impressed by the efforts put in by the students. Biogas can be utilized for electricity production on sewage works, in a CHP gas engine, space heating water heating and process heating. If compresses, it can replace compressed natural gas for use in vehicles.
